Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art described as meditation in motion. A series of movements performed in a slow and controlled manner, this form of physical activity has numerous benefits improving overall mood and reducing stress. Other benefits include better sleep, weight loss, increased energy, flexibility, and balance. Tai chi can also help delay deterioration of cognitive functioning associated with dementia. A certified Tai Chi instructor leads each class.
